In this role, you will be the first line of defense against cyberattacks, monitoring systems for anomalies, and assisting in the mitigation of security incidents. You will work alongside industry veterans who are dedicated to mentoring the next generation of security professionals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, events, and logs in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct basic vulnerability scans and assessments of internal networks.
- Investigate and document potential security incidents and suspicious activities.
- Assist in the deployment of security patches and configuration updates.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with internal security policies.
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a valid Green Card for security clearance eligibility.
- Ability to obtain necessary security certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+) upon hiring.
