Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and remediation processes
- Assist in implementing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security events
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with Windows/Linux command-line interfaces
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (if required)
