Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat hunting exercises
- Develop and implement security controls across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise environments
- Lead incident response procedures including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Create executive-level security reports and dashboards for stakeholder communication
- Maintain compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, GDPR) documentation
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to security awareness training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with 3+ in SOC/operations roles
- Active certifications: CISSP, CISM, or OSCP (CEH acceptable)
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Advanced knowledge of threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Excellent analytical thinking and communication abilities
