Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk and Sentinel.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and perform forensic analysis on compromised systems to determine root causes.
- Develop and maintain Incident Response (IR) playbooks and threat hunting strategies to proactively identify malicious activity.
- Collaborate with software development and IT operations teams to implement secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 through regular audits and reporting.
- Automate manual security processes using Python or scripting languages to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GCIH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SOC operations, network security, or incident response.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols (DNS, HTTP, FTP).
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and threat intelligence feeds.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure during security crises.
