Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and respond to alerts using SIEM platforms
- Analyze network traffic to detect and investigate potential breaches
- Document security incidents and assist with forensic analysis
- Implement vulnerability scans and patch management procedures
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security best practices
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications
