Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Document security incidents and assist with investigation procedures
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Stay updated on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds
- Assist in implementing security controls and best practices
- Contribute to incident response playbooks and security documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Passion for cybersecurity and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 SOC environment
