Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Perform vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools
- Assist in incident response procedures including evidence collection
- Document security protocols and compliance reports
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence analysis
- Participate in penetration testing simulations
- Update security policies based on emerging threats
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications a plus)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Proficiency with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced security operations center (SOC)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to obtain Security+ or CompTIA Security+ within 6 months
- US citizenship or permanent residency required (government contracts)
