Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze log data using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats.
- Conduct routine vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Assist in the investigation of security incidents and help coordinate incident response efforts.
- Implement and manage firewall rules and network access controls to secure infrastructure.
- Support security awareness training initiatives for employees.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification preferred for entry-level candidates.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (if applicable).
