Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect equity options trading platforms against cyber threats during weekend trading hours
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on financial systems
- Implement and maintain SIEM protocols for real-time threat detection
- Collaborate with trading desks to secure new derivatives products and options strategies
- Develop incident response playbooks specific to market manipulation attacks
- Ensure compliance with SEC, FINRA, and PCI-DSS standards for financial data
- Lead forensic investigations of security incidents affecting options trading
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with financial services or fintech experience
- Certification in CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity credentials
- Expertise in protecting trading platforms and financial data systems
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Deep understanding of equity options markets and trading workflows
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, CCPA) as applied to finance
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6AM-2PM EST)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
