Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to identify and respond to potential cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and document detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and firewalls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch systems
- Stay updated on evolving threat landscapes and emerging attack vectors
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Generate comprehensive security dashboards and executive-level threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and cloud security
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
- Valid US driver's license and ability to pass background check
