Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain secure network architectures
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation actions
- Stay current with threat intelligence and industry best practices
- Assist in creating security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection/response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common protocols
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, SANS)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
