Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential cyber threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and produce detailed incident reports and remediation plans.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network infrastructure.
- Manage firewall configurations and secure remote access protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with Linux/Windows system administration and scripting (Python/Bash) is a plus.
