Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and coordinate incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Manage security alerts and ensure timely remediation of critical vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Active DoD 8570 compliance (IAT Level II or higher preferred)
