Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations on security breaches and malware attacks
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python or PowerShell
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence briefings and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement security controls
- Lead penetration testing initiatives and security control validation
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Expertise in IDS/IPS deployment (Snort, Suricata)
- Proficiency in network traffic analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure security tools)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
