Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) to identify and investigate security anomalies
- Lead incident response procedures including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze threat intelligence and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Perform forensic investigations of security breaches and cyberattacks
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto/Check Point), and IDS/IPS
- Hands-on experience with incident response (NIST IR framework)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (sponsorship provided)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
