Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) to ensure 24/7 system integrity.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Enforce strict compliance with industry standards including GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement robust security controls and firewalls.
- Investigate suspicious network traffic and coordinate incident response procedures during active breaches.
- Generate and present detailed security reports to executive leadership to drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of experience).
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information assurance.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
