The Role:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring our network for security breaches, investigating suspicious activities, and implementing security measures to protect our organization's data and systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to identify and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security incidents and execute incident response procedures to minimize downtime and damage.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and external standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT operations and software development teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden system configurations.
- Generate and distribute security reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar security role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with threat intelligence feeds and malware analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
