What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk evaluations to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and contain security incidents, performing forensic analysis to determine the scope and root cause of breaches.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network configurations.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation and audit trails.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS) and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, GCIH, or CNIA is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, ArcSight, or similar).
- Experience with network security appliances, threat intelligence platforms, and endpoint detection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and executive management.
