Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and web application firewalls (WAF).
- Investigate security breaches, analyze logs, and execute incident response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch vulnerabilities and harden network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using security tools like Splunk, Snort, or Wireshark.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
