Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and incident response coordination
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform log analysis, network traffic monitoring, and forensic investigations
- Generate comprehensive security reports for leadership and compliance teams
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or threat analysis roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and compliance frameworks
- Proven incident response experience with NIST or MITRE frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
