Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and trends using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) under supervision.
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Document security incidents, incidents logs, and resolution procedures accurately.
- Support the implementation of security patches and updates across the network.
- Participate in mock drills and red team/blue team exercises to enhance defensive capabilities.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited university.
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (if applicable to role scope).
