Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Conduct detailed investigations into security incidents, logs, and system anomalies to determine the scope and root cause.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Manage and configure firewall rules, VPN access, and endpoint security agents to enforce security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Prepare and present incident reports, threat intelligence briefings, and security posture summaries to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, information security, or network administration role.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for security automation.
- Deep understanding of NIST frameworks, ISO 27001, and common attack vectors.
