Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel).
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans, root cause analyses, and remediation activities to maintain a robust security posture.
- Perform threat hunting and forensic investigations to identify potential intrusions and malicious activity.
- Collaborate with IT engineering and development teams to design, implement, and enforce security controls.
- Document security incidents, create detailed reports for management, and prepare evidence for compliance audits.
- Educate stakeholders on security best practices and emerging threat vectors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required).
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC or Security Operations role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with NIST frameworks, ISO 27001, and compliance standards.
