Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity threats in real-time.
- Perform log analysis and threat hunting to identify potential breaches.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Document security incidents and create detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a SOC or security operations center.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, OpenVAS) and SIEM platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling arrangements.
