Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Enforce compliance standards such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA across organizational systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and infrastructure.
- Document security policies, incident reports, and technical procedures for the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
