Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools to ensure rapid response times and minimize downtime.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access control mechanisms.
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies and procedures in strict compliance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems to determine the root cause of security breaches.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security architectures.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for security automation and scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
