Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive data and infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security incidents and provide detailed forensic analysis reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Train employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate complex security events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and container technologies
