Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security events using SIEM tools to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, PCI-DSS).
- Respond to and remediate security incidents, including phishing attacks and malware outbreaks.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPN gateways.
- Generate and present daily/weekly security reports to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and harden network defenses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, OSI Model).
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance (if required).
- Willingness to learn and pass industry certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
