Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Respond to security incidents with incident response protocols and forensic analysis
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption
- Document security incidents and create comprehensive incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen security posture
- Stay updated on emerging threats through continuous training and research
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to complete paid certification training (CompTIA Security+, CEH)
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 security operations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
