Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts in real-time to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and perform remediation activities to minimize business impact.
- Manage and maintain SIEM (Splunk/Sentinel) and endpoint detection systems to ensure 24/7 visibility.
- Enforce corporate security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO, and HIPAA standards.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and patch security controls effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Active certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CySA+, or CEH.
- 3+ years of experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly.
