Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.
- Incident Investigation: Lead the investigation, containment, and eradication of security breaches, preparing detailed post-incident reports.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security controls.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS through audits and policy enforcement.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with HR and IT teams to deliver security training and awareness programs to employees.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python/Bash) and experience with security tools (Snort, Wireshark, FireEye).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
