Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation, containment, and eradication of security incidents and cyberattacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing support, and risk assessments to maintain a robust security posture.
- Security Architecture: Configure, maintain, and audit firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to enforce network security policies.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) through rigorous documentation and internal audits.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training materials to educate staff on phishing, social engineering, and best practices for data protection.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center), Security Engineering, or Threat Intelligence role.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols. Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for scripting automation is a plus.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with endpoint protection solutions (EPP), EDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and SIEM platforms.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
