Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts in accordance with incident response procedures.
- Configure, manage, and maintain network security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxy servers.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Professional security certification preferred (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP).
- 2+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or related security role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or PowerShell) for security automation and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
