Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to strengthen our defense posture.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in accordance with established incident response plans.
- Configure, manage, and audit firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to ensure network security.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to remediate security vulnerabilities in code and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in a SOC or Security Analyst role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching).
- Experience with endpoint protection solutions (EDR) and malware analysis.
