Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and alerts within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Conduct thorough log analysis and threat hunting using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Perform vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts to reduce attack surfaces.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and briefings for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and attack methodologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or SOC 2.
- Experience with SIEM technologies (Splunk, LogRhythm, or similar).
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
