Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Enforce compliance standards such as NIST, CIS, and GDPR across organizational systems.
- Document security incidents, create incident reports, and facilitate post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network defense.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in security tools (e.g., Splunk, SIEM, FireEye, Snort).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
