Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and manage patch management processes.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and incident triage.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain network security policies and firewalls.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Perform regular security audits and provide risk assessments for new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with incident response methodologies and forensics.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
