Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations: Analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential intrusions in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the response to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications before they are exploited.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Threat Intelligence: Stay abreast of the latest cyber threat landscapes and emerging attack vectors to proactively adjust security postures.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with IT teams to educate staff on security best practices and conduct security training sessions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network security operations.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CCNA Security certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure. Strong communication skills to articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack methodologies.
