Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM platforms (Splunk/Sentinel) to identify potential breaches and suspicious activity in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and eradication of security incidents and cyber attacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing coordination to ensure system integrity.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) by generating accurate compliance reports.
- Security Hardening: Implement security patches, configure firewalls, and manage access controls to harden network perimeters.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with HR and IT teams to deliver security training and promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, or similar) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting incidents and presenting findings to stakeholders.
