Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using tools like Nessus/Burp Suite
- Investigate security alerts using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance standards (NIST/CIS)
- Perform forensic analysis on security breaches and malware incidents
- Lead security awareness training for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (CEH/GCIH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet), and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant/Recorded Future)
- Ability to work under pressure during critical security incidents
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- BS/MS in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
