Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis and proactive hunting for advanced persistent threats
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Analyze malware and anomalous activities using forensic tools (Wireshark, FTK)
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber attacks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with threat intelligence feeds (MISP, AlienVault OTX) and vulnerability scanners
- Ability to write Python/PowerShell scripts for automation and threat detection
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure during incidents
