Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) for security incidents and anomalous activity
- Conduct forensic investigations, root cause analysis, and incident response coordination
- Implement vulnerability management processes including patching and remediation tracking
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, procedures)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Perform penetration testing and security assessments to identify system weaknesses
- Provide 24/7 on-call security rotation support (rotating schedule)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC/operations roles
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure situations
