Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts across the network infrastructure using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, breaches, and anomalies to determine the root cause and containment strategy.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to proactively identify weaknesses in the security posture.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption protocols.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies, industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST), and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or cybersecurity role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in using security tools and technologies (FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, Snort, Wireshark).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to write clear technical reports.
