Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Manage incident response procedures, including triage, containment, eradication, and recovery of security breaches.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards, specifically NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees and document security procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security roles.
- Certification required: CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
