Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security incidents
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to incidents on short notice
