Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk, QRadar, and other SIEM platforms
- Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and coordinate breach response
- Develop and optimize security playbooks for threat detection and mitigation
- Collaborate with network teams to implement security controls and patches
- Generate executive-level security reports and compliance documentation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing simulations
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, SOC, or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX)
- Hands-on experience with EDR, IDS/IPS, and network security tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical/non-technical stakeholders
