As a key member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you'll monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents while implementing robust defense strategies. Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and develop comprehensive incident response reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and awareness
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security frameworks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanning tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure during security incidents
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
