Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware infections and unauthorized access.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch vulnerabilities and enforce security policies.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security dashboards for executive leadership.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical security breaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security administration.
- Valid certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex log data.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and handle high-pressure situations.
