Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premise systems
- Lead incident response activities including malware analysis and forensic investigations
- Create comprehensive security documentation including policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement zero-trust architecture and endpoint protection solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations (SOC) or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and malware analysis tools
- Excellent written communication skills for security reporting and stakeholder presentations
