Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, detect anomalies, and respond to incidents in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Analyze security logs using SIEM tools to identify potential threats
- Develop and implement security protocols aligned with NIST frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards
- Create incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend defensive strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis with hands-on SIEM experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, QRadar, AlienVault)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security architectures
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling preferences
